The winning team of Digital Media Technology students Ruben Balderas and Aaron Page interviewed Instructor James Polson, among others, as part of their assignment in the regional competition for SkillsUSA on February 3rd. Contestants were challenged to plan, shoot and edit a short video as if it were an assignment from the SyFy channel on behalf of their 'Ghosthunters' series.
Elsewhere in the SEATech facility, Electrical Systems Technology students raced against the clock to complete a residential wiring assignment under the supervision of Instructor Eric Matson. At the end of the day, Matson and Digital Media Instructor Jeffrey Townsend made plans to take their winning students to the SkillsUSA state competition in Yakima at the end of April.
Even after the fast-paced and jam-packed day, they both said that they look forward to hosting an even bigger regional competition next year.
